Disney needed a hand with designing and developing an innovative exhibit for The Lion King that would shine a spotlight on the story behind how the remarkable costumers were designed and created for the theatrical production on Broadway. Programs in the past for similar projects were turning out to be weak and costly. Winston was challenged with making a more budget-efficient and durable program that would withhold during excessive travel over a long period of time. Our creative team developed a strategic plan that met the strenuous conditions of the traveling exhibit and celebrated the beauty and story of The Lion King displays. The design included a moveable wall and platform exhibit that was easy to pack for shipping and enabled the costumes, wood forms, and maquettes to be moved without damage. Over five years, the exhibit traveled to multiple locations, including the Time Warner Center in New York and The Mandalay Bay Resort and Hotel in Las Vegas.
